Spikeless Tree Climbing vs. Spike Climbing

There are two professional methods of climbing a tree one is spike less tree climbing and the other is climbing the trees with spikes on the boots. The later include use of spikes and spurs which are strapped on to the boots of the climber. The climber must wear a harness that is attached to a pole belt that is in turn secured with the tree. This allows the climber a virtual strength to climb up the tree on his spikes while they are to advance the pole belt as they climb up.

But the method is often not applicable for the trees with thinner bark causing the tree to suffer from wounds and injuries thus opening it to bacterial infestation. Spiking is therefore restricted to climbing dead trees, while removal of trees, climbing hazardous trees, or for the trees which are too high and spikeless system is impossible.
